As Vice President of Real Estate and Facility Development for Bright Now! Dental, Inc., Bill McCarthy has overall responsibility for development of all new offices, office relocations and renovations, facility maintenance, and lease administration. Bill joined Bright Now! in November of 2002 and since then has lead the company's efforts to successfully open 40 new offices in ten existing markets. In 2004, Bill was awarded the President’s Award, the company’s highest honor.
Before joining Bright Now!, Bill was the Vice President of Asset Management and Facilities for Washington Mutual Bank, where he oversaw asset management responsibilities for a national portfolio of 500 office, retail, and flex properties. His duties included lease negotiations, capital and operating budgets, lease administration, landlord/tenant relations, asset preservation, and facility management.
Prior to Washington Mutual, Bill spent five years as a member of the Jamba Juice development department. During this time, Jamba Juice grew from 15 to approximately 300 retail outlets across the country. As Real Estate Manager, New Business Development, Bill created the non-traditional retail outlet development process and oversaw the successful opening of 17 airport, grocery store (Whole Food's Market), and university units in a single year. As Regional Real Estate Development Manager, he coordinated the real estate development process for twenty traditional stores per year. Bill also created and oversaw Jamba's property management and facilities maintenance department, and was honored with the company's first Founder's Award.
Bill began his commercial real estate career as a leasing agent and property manager for Koll Management Services. Bill graduated cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in history from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has an MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine. Bill also holds a California real estate license. In addition to his professional career, Bill enjoys cycling. |
