William O. Smales is an Associate focused on European buyout and development capital opportunities in the telecommunications & media and technology & business services sectors. He is based in London.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Smales was a Consultant at PIPC, where he was involved in post acquisition integration programs in the United Kingdom. Prior to that, Mr. Smales was general counsel at The Atlantis Group, where he was involved in the Group's acquisitions and investments across a number of portfolio companies.
Mr. Smales received his M.B.A. from INSEAD Business School. He received a LLB and a BCom in economics from the University of Otago, New Zealand. He has been admitted to the Bar in England and New Zealand. |
