William M. Isaac is Chairman of The Secura Group, a leading financial institutions consulting firm, and its executive search affiliate, Secura Burnett Company. Before founding Secura in 1986, Mr. Isaac served for nearly eight years as a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and was FDIC Chairman from 1981 through 1985. In that capacity, Mr. Isaac played a leading role in many of the most important issues concerning financial institution supervision and regulation that confronted the government, and structured some of the most significant financial assistance transactions in the history of the FDIC. Mr. Isaac also served as Chairman of the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council and as a member of the Depository Institutions Deregulation Committee and the Vice President's Task Group on Regulation of Financial Services. Mr. Isaac, a frequent speaker before banking and other groups, writes a regular column for the American Banker. He serves currently as a member of the boards of directors of MPS Group., TransUnion Corporation, and The Ohio State University Foundation, is Chairman of The Isaac Property Companies, and is Chairman-elect of Goodwill Industries of Sarasota. He was a director of Associates First Capital Corporation prior to its acquisition by CitiGroup.
Mr. Isaac received his undergraduate degree from Miami University and is a graduate summa cum laude of the College of Law of The Ohio State University. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree by Miami University in 1984. |
