Prior to joining H&R Block, Trubeck served as the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of Waste Management, Inc. where he was responsible for oversight of the corporation's financial affairs, information technology, legal, human resources, and recycling operations. As a senior leader with the company, Trubeck established an internal audit department and developed "Accounting Rules of the Road."
Trubeck also served in a leadership capacity as Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO/President for Latin American Operations for International Multifoods. He was responsible for corporate financial control, treasury, investor relations, tax, audit, pension fund and risk management, strategic planning, corporate information systems and mergers and acquisitions.
Other corporations Trubeck has worked with include Honeywell, Inc., formerly AlliedSignal; Northwest Airlines Corporation,; Aetna Business Credit and Ford Motor Credit Company.
He has a bachelor’s degree in business from Monmouth College and an MBA from the University of Connecticut. He also served as a Second Lieutenant Corps of Engineers, for the United States Army.
