Biography
William L. McKinney, CPA is a partner in the Greenfield and Indianapolis, Indiana offices of Kemper CPA Group LLP. In 1983, William graduated from Eastern Illinois University with distinction and honors in accounting and joined Kemper CPA Group LLP the same year. William is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Indiana CPA Society, and the Illinois CPA Society.
As a trusted business advisor to his clients, William is responsible for providing business consulting, tax, and accounting support to a wide variety of businesses. In addition, William's responsibilities include planning, supervision and management of financial statement audits and reviews and various consulting services in many different industries. He is also involved in assisting clients with growth opportunities and financing structure. In addition, he has significant experience in structuring and negotiating merger and acquisition transactions. William has specialized knowledge of the real estate, construction and small professional business industries. He is a member of the firm's salary and benefit committee along with being past chairman of the technology committee. In addition, William serves as an internal consultant for Kemper CPA Group in the areas of common interest realty associations, construction contractors, grain dealers, professional services and sales/use tax.
William has participated in seminars ranging from topics such as effective cash flow planning to setting up a new business along with contributing to the firm's monthly eNewsletter. In addition, William has participated as a guest speaker on Community Link for Channel 8, WISH TV Indianapolis, regarding the topic of IRAs.
William currently serves as treasurer and executive member of the St. Elizabeth Coleman Pregnancy and Adoption Services, treasurer for Murat Shrine VCM unit, member of the audit committee for the Greenfield Rotary along with being a member of the Indianapolis, Fishers and Noblesville Chamber of Commerce. William has also served as treasurer for the chamber of commerce and state representative political positions.
