William L. Curry is Chief Tax Officer and Assistant Secretary for The Dow Chemical Company. He is based at the Company’s global headquarters in Midland, Michigan.
Curry joined Dow in 1990 as a tax attorney. He remained in the role until 1995 when he was appointed area tax specialist for Dow’s European region based in Horgen, Switzerland. In 1998, Curry was named tax director for Dow AgroSciences, and relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana. He held this position for four years, before moving to Midland as senior managing tax counsel in 2002. Curry was appointed chief tax officer in February 2007.
Curry graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Geology. In 1989 he received a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the University of Oregon and the following year was awarded a Masters of Laws (LLM) in Taxation from the University of Florida. |
