Ken Dix joined Southwest Water in May 2007. He provides guidance for all of the Company’s legal activities including litigation management, contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, acquisitions and corporate governance. Mr. Dix has more than 18 years of legal experience.
Before joining Southwest Water, Mr. Dix worked as a sole practitioner. He represented small and mid-cap companies as well as individuals in all types of transactional business issues relating to employment law, contract negotiations, licensing arrangements, acquisitions, insurance, franchising and government contracts.
Previously, Mr. Dix served as Vice President and General Counsel for Genetronics Biomedical Corporation, Metabolife International and Jenny Craig, Inc. and senior counsel for Aetna Health Plans and Science Applications International Corporation. Mr. Dix has broad-based legal experience in contract law, employment matters, FTC, FDA and SEC regulatory affairs, litigation and risk management and corporate governance.
A graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center, Mr. Dix is a member of the bars of California, District of Columbia and Pennsylvania. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Guilford College, North Carolina, and also studied at the University College of London. As a Captain in the U.S. Air Force, he piloted F-4E Phantom jet fighters and was a staff officer to the Assistant Secretary of Defense. |
