He became a director of our Company effective September 2005. He is a member of our audit committee. Mr. Potter is an investment/merchant banker with more than 30 years of experience. He has managed closed-end funds in the United States and Canada and served on the boards of more than 20 United States domiciled public companies. Most recently, Mr. Potter has been the Chairman of Meredith Financial Group from April 2004 and the President of Ridgewood Group International Ltd. from June 1996 to March 2004. Prior to establishing Ridgewood in 1989, he was Managing Director for International Investment Banking at Prudential-Bache Securities Inc. and a Director of Prudential-Bache Securities Canada Ltd. His current directorships include the National Foreign Trade Council; Aberdeen Asset Management Limited; and Alexandria Bancorp, a banking subsidiary of Canadian money manager Guardian Capital Group. Mr. Potter received an A.B. from Colgate University and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. |
