Prior to the creation of Scientific Games Corporation, William Huntley was president of Autotote Lottery Corporation. As president, Mr. Huntley had responsibility for all aspects of Autotote’s new entry into the on-line lottery business, including, sales, marketing, customer service, field service, product development, quality assurance, regulatory compliance and the financial performance of the division. Under Mr. Huntley’s guidance, Scientific Games has become the fastest growing on-line lottery company in the world, having deployed the newest technologies and signed up seven domestic lotteries in just a few years: Connecticut, Iowa, Maine, Montana, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Vermont.
Since Autotote acquired Scientific Games Holdings, Mr. Huntley has also assumed the management of SGI's Cooperative Services business and its Lottery Systems and Services business in Austria, which services lottery customers throughout Europe. The combined systems and services business led by Mr. Huntley represents approximately $125 million dollars of SGI's annual revenues. SGI Systems division sales are the source of much of Scientific Games' recent growth.
From 1992 until April 1997, Mr. Huntley was Corporate Vice President, Technology at Autotote, where his years of development and operations experience in the gaming industry prepared him to set the technical direction for all Autotote divisions. His goal was state-of-the-art, innovative products for all Autotote businesses, while maximizing synergy of resources and commonality of similar products across divisions. He managed the development of the very successful line of PROBE terminals, as well as the AEGIS® lottery system.
Earlier, Mr. Huntley spent approximately five years as Vice President of operations for Autotote Systems, Inc. (ASI). As VP of operations he managed a field maintenance organization of 450 technicians, Research and Development, and Manufacturing for Autotote's systems and services business serving the North American horse racing industry. During his tenure Autotote expanded its market share from 16% to 65%.
