William (Bill) J. Grubbs is chief marketing and corporate development officer of Spherion Corporation (NYSE:SFN). Founded in 1946 the Fort Lauderdale Florida-based company is a leader in the North American staffing industry providing value-added staffing recruiting and workforce solutions. Appointed in November 2005 Grubbs has oversight for Spherion’s marketing and positioning strategy. He also leads the development and implementation of the Company’s acquisition strategy. With profitable revenue growth the company’s highest priority Grubbs is a critical player in making sure that the market recognizes the unique value that Spherion offers through the ability of its associates to efficiently deliver superior service to candidates and clients. Spherion’s reputation for excellent candidate and client service and its integrated technology platform have established it as a leader in the North American staffing market. Grubbs’ job is to help ensure that clients and prospects understand Spherion’s value proposition and that it continues to provide the right solutions to meet their evolving needs. Grubbs has more than 20 years of experience in the recruiting industry and has held a variety of senior executive positions in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Most recently he served as chief operating officer of Spring Group a staffing and recruiting company based in the U.K. that specializes in IT clerical financial and industrial staffing as well as recruitment process outsourcing and managed services. In addition he spent four years as chief executive officer of Spring Technology Staffing Services a business unit of Spring Group and also served as president and chief executive officer of TRS Staffing Solutions an independent business unit of Fluor Corporation located in Boston Massachusetts. He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of New Hampshire. |
