Prior to his appointment, William served as Executive Vice President for MasterCard International, where he was responsible for developing new business ventures to service a wider range of member needs. He was also responsible for all alliances, joint ventures, new investments and equity investments. William also served as Executive Vice President for MasterCard Global Resources where his responsibilities included administration, government affairs, audit, finance, analysis, legal, human resources, and global communications. At Global Resources, he also worked in the areas of corporate finance and M&A activities.
William brings over 30 years of finance and operations experience to The New Power Company. Before joining MasterCard, he co-founded Financial Security Assurance Inc. (FSA) one of the world’s largest bond insurance companies. At FSA, William acted as Chief Operating Officer, managing all staff functions including finance, policy, administration, investment management and legal.
William serves on the boards of directors of Mondex International, Maestro International, Global Payment Systems and Investment Technology Group. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of American University.
William received both a Bachelor of Arts and a law degree from American University. |
