Mr. Webb brings significant experience as an independent director and as a former long-serving senior executive of a major corporation. Mr. Webb retired in 2002 as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Philip Morris group (now Altria Group, Inc.), effective August 2002. He served as Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Operating Officer from August 2001, and was Chief Operating Officer of the Corporation from May 1997. During his tenure as Chief Operating Officer, he was responsible for the five principal operating companies of Philip Morris Companies Inc., which included Kraft Foods North America, Kraft Foods International, Miller Brewing Company, Philip Morris International Inc. and Philip Morris Inc. (Philip Morris U.S.A.).
Prior to this appointment, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Philip Morris International Inc. for four years. He first joined Philip Morris in 1966, and during his 35 year career with the company, occupied a number of management roles in North America and the Asia Pacific.
Mr. Webb is a member of the Board of Directors of Pernod Ricard S.A.
