William H. Nichol has assumed the position of President, Gildan Retail Division, upon Gildan's acquisition of Kentucky Derby Hosiery. Mr. Nichol previously served as Chairman and CEO of Kentucky Derby Hosiery since 1985. Under his leadership, the Company grew into a $130 million vertically-integrated marketer and manufacturer of quality hosiery products for major U.S. mass-market retailers. The success of Kentucky Derby Hosiery is based largely on its technical expertise, and Mr. Nichol is personally the inventor and patent holder of hosiery processing machinery and hosiery packaging displays. Mr. Nichol is President-elect of The Hosiery Association. He is married and lives in Hopkinsville, KY.
