Bill Bates is the founder and chief executive officer of digiChart. He is also a clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Prior to joining digiChart, Dr. Bates served as professor of obstetrics and gynecology and dean of the College of Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston. Dr. Bates was executive vice president and chief medical officer of PrincipalCare Inc., a company that acquired and managed OB-GYN practices in metropolitan areas. Dr. Bates received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also holds the degree of master of business administration with an emphasis on health care administration from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. |
