Bill is a principal and consulting actuary in the New York office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1986.
Experience
Bill works on a wide range of property and casualty consulting assignments, including due diligence work for potential acquisitions, rate and reserve analyses for most lines of business, financial projections, and feasibility studies. He has also testified extensively as an expert witness in regulatory proceedings and in civil litigation.
Bill has evaluated asbestos, environmental, and other latent injury liabilities for a large number of insurers and reinsurers. His work has been done in the context of internal company reserve evaluations, regulatory oversight activities, and merger and acquisition activities.
In the field of medical professional liability, he evaluates insurance rates and reserves, performs self-insured funding studies, evaluates the financial impact of changes in the civil justice system, and advises clients on a wide range of legislative issues. His clients include medical societies, hospitals, nursing homes, and charitable foundations.
Affiliations
Bill is a former vice chair of the Casualty Actuarial Society's Examination Committee and served on its task force on the Review of Education Processes and Procedures.
He is currently serving on the American Academy of Actuaries Medical Malpractice Subcommittee.

Bill has spoken on various topics at the Casualty Actuarial Society's Loss Reserve and Ratemaking seminars and at numerous other industry meetings.
