During his career, Bill has served as Coordinator of Research, Louisiana State Law Institute at the LSU Law School (1971-72) and Assistant U. S. Attorney, Eastern District of Louisiana (1973-74). He was a member of the Ad Hoc Committee for Preparation of Rules and Regulations for Mining and Reclamation of Lignite in the State of Louisiana, Office of Conservation (1979) and a member of the Committee on Revision of Rules of Procedure, Office of Conservation, State of Louisiana (1982-83) and Advisory Committee, Office of Conservation (1994).Bill has exclusively practiced mineral law since 1979. He is the co-author of "State Regulation of Oil and Gas," Energy Law & Transactions, (Matthew Bender, 1990). He presently serves on the Advisory Council of the Louisiana Mineral Law Institute. He is a proud member of the American Association of Professional Landmen; the Lafayette Association of Petroleum Landmen; the Professional Landmen's Association of New Orleans; and the Louisiana Oil & Gas Association. He has spoken at numerous seminars sponsored by these and other organizations and has championed the welfare and positions of the oil and gas industry through his practice and service in these organizations. |
