Mr. Turcotte is General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and is responsible for the legal affairs of Cornell Companies. Mr. Turcotte has broad experience in corporate, transactional, governance and securities matters. Prior to joining the company in March 2007, Mr. Turcotte served as Vice President, Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary of Transocean Inc., a NYSE-listed company that is one of the largest oilfield services companies in the world. He joined Transocean in 2000, and his responsibilities there included acquisitions and divestitures, securities matters including 34 Act reporting and public offerings, corporate finance and corporate governance matters. Mr. Turcotte also has a strong background in international transactions and is fluent in Spanish. After beginning his career in private practice in Houston and Mexico City, Mr. Turcotte joined Schlumberger Limited, where he served in a variety of legal roles in Houston, Caracas and Paris. Mr. Turcotte holds a degree in finance from Texas A&M University and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Houston Law Center. |
