William E. Schroeder joined Sullivan & Cromwell in 1986 and became a Special Counsel in 1997. Mr. Schroeder teaches Transnational Litigation and Dispute Resolution as a Part-Time Lecturer of Law at the Rutgers Law School. Mr. Schroeder has participated in a number of bar associations, including serving as Secretary to the Council on Children for the Association of the Bar of the City of New York. Mr. Schroeder is part of the firm s Litigation Group and has represented both U.S. and non-U.S. corporate clients on a wide variety of litigation and regulatory matters, including matters relating to antitrust, commodities, complex derivatives transactions, commercial banking, complex electronic discovery, white collar criminal investigations and prosecutions, and investigations by the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, the United States Federal Trade Commission, the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Mr. Schroeder has also led antitrust and competition law compliance training programs in a number of jurisdictions including the United States, Canada, Australia, England, Germany and South Africa.
