Dr. Yates received his BA in Medical Science from Northwestern University, Illinois in 1983 and his M.D. also from Northwestern University in 1985 as a member of the special Honors Program in Medical Education.. He completed his surgical internship at Howard University Hospital, Washington, D.C. in 1986 and his General Surgery residency also at Howard University Hospital in 1990. Dr. Yates completed his Fellowship in Critical Care/Trauma at University of Maryland Hospital in 1991 and received certification in General Surgery and Critical Care Surgery.He has had a long and distinguished medical career. From 1991 to 2001 Dr. Yates was in private practice with General Surgery & Trauma Associates in St. Louis, MO. In 2002 he was in private practice as a General & Trauma Surgeon at Crossroads Hospital, Mt. Vernon, Illinois. From 2003 to present, Dr. Yates was a Staff Surgeon in General Surgery at Lovelace Medical Center, Albuquerque, New Mexico and was affiliated with the Albuquerque Regional Medical Center and West Mesa Medical Center. He was appointed to the position of Clinical Instructor in Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis and at the Univwersity of New Mexico.Upon joining Bosley, Dr. Yates received extensive training in hair restoration utilizing the modern follicular unit technology and artistic innovation of pioneer and founder, L. Lee Bosley, M.D.Dr. Yates is a member of the American Medical Society; a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and The American Society of Bariatric Surgery, as well as being a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. He is married to Isaura and has four children. He is licensed to practice medicine in New Mexico, Illinois, Missouri and MIchigan. |
