Bill Sutter was born in Los Angeles, California, but grew up in York, Nebraska. He attended Doane College and the University of Nebraska, receiving a B.A. in 1964. He graduated from the University of Nebraska School of Law in 1967 where he was on the Board of Editors of the Nebraska Law Review and received numerous other honors.
Bill specializes in civil trial practice and has practiced law in Lincoln and York since 1967. He was President of the Lincoln Bar Association in 1987-1988, a member of the House of Delegates of the Nebraska State Bar Association for eight years, and has served on various committees.
He was Trustee and Treasurer of Lincoln General Hospital from 1976-1986, was formerly active in the Lincoln YMCA soccer league and has been involved in various other civic organizations. He currently serves as a member of the York Nebraska Housing Authority.
His family includes his wife, Peggy, five children and six grandchildren. Bill's interests include travel, golf and Peggy (not necessarily in that order).
