As chief financial officer of Ingram Micro Inc., the world's leading technology distributor, William D. Humes oversees the company's worldwide financial operations, including financial planning and analysis, controllership, internal audit, tax and treasury.
Humes became CFO in April 2005, when Thomas A. Madden, the company's former CFO retired to become a university professor. Humes joined Ingram Micro in 1998 as senior director, worldwide financial planning, reporting and accounting, and became corporate vice president and controller in 2002.
Prior to Ingram Micro, Humes was at PricewaterhouseCoopers for nine years, where he became a certified public accountant and took an accelerated path to senior manager. During his tenure at the firm, Humes was responsible for managing all aspects of professional services to numerous multinational and technology-sector companies.
Humes is based at Ingram Micro's corporate headquarters in Santa Ana, Calif. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics business from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he was a Phi Beta Kappa honoree. |
