Bill Fritts joined Conseco in February 2006 as senior vice president of government relations.He is responsible for managing Conseco's regulator relationships, monitoring legislative and regulatory development, and acting as the main interface with regulatory associations. He coordinates Conseco's government relations function on an enterprise-wide basis, overseeing activities at Conseco Insurance Group, Bankers Life and Casualty Company, and Colonial Penn Life Insurance Company.
Before joining Conseco, Fritts was employed by The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America, serving as executive vice president responsible for oversight and coordination of PCIAA's federal and state political advocacy and public affairs efforts.
Prior to PCI, Fritts held senior-level positions at Intersect Strategies Group, a government and business consultant organization and ING Americas/ReliaStar Financial Corporation.
His extensive experience in government relations includes work as the Washington D.C. representative for the NAIC, the Minnesota chief of staff of U.S. Senator Dave Durenberger, and assistant secretary for legislative and inter-government affairs at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Fritts holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and chemistry from the University of Vermont. |
