William D. Clifford is a shareholder of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. He concentrates his practice in the areas of Construction and Surety Law. Mr. Clifford is Chair of the firm’s Construction Law Group. He is past-Chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association Construction Section. He serves as an adjunct professor at the Duquesne University School of Law teaching construction law. Mr. Clifford is primarily engaged in contract drafting/negotiation, litigation, and arbitration/mediation of construction claims and other construction-related disputes. His practice involves representation of owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, developers, public agencies, design professionals, and sureties. His construction practice has involved airports, stadiums, convention centers, schools, bridges, highways, public housing, steel mills, electrical power plants, commercial office buildings, sewage treatment facilities, and prisons. Mr. Clifford is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Allegheny County Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, Superior Court of Pennsylvania, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He is also a member of the American Bar Association Fidelity & Surety Law Committee and the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Industry. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Clifford served as a law clerk for the Honorable Rolf Larsen, Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice. Mr. Clifford graduated from Bucknell University in 1978 with a B.S. in Business Administration. He received his J.D. from Duquesne University in 1981, cum laude.
