As the Director of Field Operations for ICOA, Mr. Ankerstjerne has overall responsibility for all of the ICOA Wi-Fi deployments including RF engineering, wireless LAN /WAN design architecture, installations, equipment provisioning, R&D and personnel management for field operation, field services, purchasing, provisioning and field services contractors.
Mr. Ankerstjerne is an innovative, high-tech practitioner skilled at every level of network planning, architecture, engineering, administration, sales and management with over 10 years experience in various facets of wireless technology design and deployments. Wil has played a leading role in the ICOA conversion from a pay-per-fax purveyor into a wireless network and managed service provider for the travel industry, including prominent hotels, airports and restaurant chains nationwide.
Prior to his employment with ICOA, Wil served as the Director of Solutions Architecture for Schlumberger, a New York based fortune 1000 company, where he was responsible for various field services activities, and Chief Technology Officer for ISUTA USA, a Malaysian owned US subsidiary company responsible for the design and development of the first commercially available in-vehicle navigation and computing systems.
Wil attended Kutztown University and Eastern University, various United States Air Force schools, and and holds various certifications, licenses, and certificates in Information Technology.
