Will Marks joined JMP Securities in August 2001 and is a Managing Director and senior research analyst covering the hotel and resorts industry and the property services sector.
Prior to joining JMP, Will was a Managing Director and senior research analyst at Montgomery Securities, now Banc of America Securities, from 1994 to 2001, covering real estate investment trusts (REITs) and property services. Before beginning his career in equity research, Will worked at Iliff, Thorn & Company as a commercial real estate broker from 1988 to 1992.
In 2006, Will was named as the top stock picker in the Real Estate category in the annual "Best on the Street" analyst survey conducted by the Wall Street Journal. In 2004, Will ranked second among all analysts in the Lodging category; and, in 2001, he also ranked first in the Real Estate category.
Will holds a MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a BA in economics from the University of California, Davis. |
