Dr. William C. Kaska is the Company s Director of Science and a Professor in the Department of Chemistry, University of California Santa Barbara . He has over 40 years experience in Organometallic and Inorganic research chemistry with 100 publications in American and European journals. He began his academic career at the newly formed Department of Chemistry, University of California , Santa Barbara in 1964 and became Full Professor in that Department in 1979. He is a member of the Royal Society, the American Chemical Society and Sigma Xi. His research has encompassed a broad range of synthetic topics, including, Inorganic anticancer compounds, activation of saturated hydrocarbons, design of superbasic ligands, organogold compounds, and novel organometallic reagents for catalysis, organic transformations. Professor Kaska is considered to be one of the leading authorities globally in this area of research and he was responsible for making the initial scientific discoveries that form the basis of the worldwide efforts in hydrogen recovery from hydrocarbons. |
