Bill Allison has been enthralled with, and devoted to theatre and music since, as a youngster, attending his first concert at Blackstone College (VA) in the mid-sixties. It then took some time for Bill to learn that acting was not his calling and consulting and production work is, but audiences have been grateful ever since. Bill's design and production experience ranges from working with rock and pop music bands before beginning his university career, to dinner theatre, theme park live attractions, regional theatre, touring with Broadway musicals, a season at the Metropolitan Opera, as well as production work on Off-Broadway and Broadway productions. Then, in the early eighties, Bill found that there is great fulfillment in working carefully and methodically with very talented project teams to design and build great performing arts spaces. The depth of his in-the-trenches knowledge and understanding, plus his broad experience in consulting on arts facilities both domestically and overseas shapes Bill's approach in working with owners, user groups, design teams and contractors. Additionally, his passion for excellence in all he does ensures that clients will move into the building that is appropriately matched to both their immediate and long term needs. |
