William ("Bill") B. Gauld was elected senior vice president enterprise services and an officer of the company in September 2006.
Bill is responsible for functions that provide critical capabilities and support to the enterprise including global shared services supply chain management enterprise sales and marketing the company’s engineering center in India information technology business operating system and global consulting.
Bill began his career in manufacturing with General Electric moving through diverse operations functions that culminated with a position as chief information officer for GE’s Electrical Distribution and Controls business.
In 1994 Bill joined Textron Incorporated as vice president and chief information officer leading the company’s information management corporate sourcing and shared services operations. After five years with Textron he joined Sony Electronic as chief information officer and executive vice president of logistics.
In 2001 Gauld joined Pearson plc as chief information officer with responsibility for business services and global sourcing and served as a member of the senior management committee.
Gauld holds a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Purdue University and a master of business administration degree in operations management from Indiana University Graduate Business School. |
