Bill heads BBK's Corporate Advisory Group from the New York office. He leads our firm's restructuring advisory and corporate finance platforms. BBK's Corporate Advisory Group advises operating businesses, investor constituents and secured creditors involved in corporate restructurings, merger and acquisition activities, asset dispositions, leveraged buyouts, capital market transactions and profit enhancement strategies. Professional Experience Prior to BBK, Bill acted as Group Managing Director, Corporate Restructuring for Huron Consulting Group LLC. In this role, he was responsible for new business origination, deal execution, practice leadership/strategies as well as recruitment, hiring and mentoring. Bill served as financial advisor to a natural juice/beverage squeezing, bottling and distribution business with sales in excess of $300 million. He acted as Chief Restructuring Officer to a public utility company with loans in excess of $1.2 billion. Bill also represented an Unsecured Creditors Committee in an international finance case, a Fortune 100 international hi-tech manufacturer in a bankruptcy court ordered audit, as well as a commercial bank and the largest senior secured lender in what became the largest energy company bankruptcy filing of recent times. Prior to Huron Consulting, Bill was the Managing Director and Group Head of the Restructure Advisory Practice at Berenson Minella & Co, a New York boutique investment bank. He managed a start-up team of seven restructure professionals, as part of a larger boutique that was successful in restructuring more than $800 million in client debts. Before Berenson Minella, Bill acted as Director and Senior Workout Officer at BNP Paribas, a large, French, international commercial banking concern where he acted on behalf of syndicated bank groups, resulting in more than 42 transactions with aggregate loan exposure of more than $3.5 billion. He also led restructurings in a variety of industries including, but not limited to: real estate, healthcare, oil & gas/energy, restaurants and technology. At the outset of his affiliation with Paribas, Bill was appointed Executive Vice President of Paribas Properties and led the organization's real estate equity investment activities throughout North America. In the early 90s, Bill restructured Banque Paribas' U.S. real estate loan portfolio and, as a result, renegotiated numerous retail, commercial and hotel loans. Prior to 1991, Bill was heavily involved in the US commercial real estate industry as a senior officer of Jones Lang Wootton, a large international real estate consultancy.
