William A. Shiel is senior vice president - facilities development for Walgreen Co., the nationwide drugstore chain headquartered in Deerfield, Ill. He oversees real estate, facilities planning, construction and maintenance functions.
Mr. Shiel earned a Bachelor's Degree in business administration from Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wis., in 1972 and an M.B.A. from De Paul University, Chicago, in 1976. He joined Walgreens in 1972 as a real estate representative.
Mr. Shiel was named division real estate manager in 1979, responsible for Chicago-area site selection and negotiation. He was promoted to vice president - facilities development in 1985 and senior vice president - facilities development in 1993. |
