The Regulatory Affairs Manager is responsible for general supervision of two discrete areas of the utility: environmental, health and safety programs and planning; and legislative and administrative affairs. He also serves as administrator and advisor to the General Manager on major long-term utility projects. The person in this position is appointed by the General Manager and serves at his discretion.
The current Regulatory Affairs Manager is William A. Murray. Bill has been at CWLP since 1980 and has served in his current position since September 1990. Prior to that, he was Utility Project Manager and, before that, Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Springfield, serving exclusively as staff counsel for CWLP. Before joining CWLP, Bill worked as an attorney in Missouri.
Bill earned his A.B. degree in government from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois, and his J.D. degree from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. He also completed the American Public Power Association Senior Executive Program at the University of Wisconsin School of Business. |
