Bill Longbrake, age 62, vice chair of Washington Mutual, Inc., since 2004, began his career at Washington Mutual in 1982. He left Washington Mutual in February 1995 when he was appointed to serve as chief financial officer and deputy to the chairman for finance at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. He returned to Washington Mutual in 1996 as executive vice president and chief financial officer and later served as vice chair and chief financial officer, from 1996 to 2002, and as vice chair and chief enterprise risk officer, from 2002 to 2004. In 2001, Longbrake was named CFO of the Year in the Driving Revenue Growth category by CFO Magazine. Mr. Longbrake is a director of Washington Mutual Bank, fsb, which is a member of the Seattle FHLB and a subsidary of Washington Mutual, Inc. |
