William A. Goldstein is the chief executive officer of Lodestar Investment Counsel, LLC, an investment advisory firm acquired by the Company in 2002, and has over 40 years of experience in the investment industry. Mr. Goldstein was appointed to the Board of Directors of The PrivateBank (Chicago) in January 2003 following completion of the acquisition and is also an executive officer of the Company. Prior to founding Lodestar in 1989, he was a principal in the founding of Burton J. Vincent, Chesley & Co. where he served as executive vice president and director. In 1983 the firm was acquired by Prescott, Ball & Turben (a subsidiary of Kemper Corporation). There Mr. Goldstein was chairman and director of Prescott Asset Management and president of Selected Special Shares, a publicly traded mutual fund. |
