Willem Offerhaus is responsible for the Global Sales organization and member of the Executive Committee. His mission is to improve sales performance of the channels by developing the customer engagement model for services and solutions to maximize customer satisfaction and the growth of the company.
His focus is on sales effectiveness and coordination of the channels globally for Equant as leader in the global communications solutions market. He oversees Sales Strategy Sales Operations Global Large Accounts Programs Sales Compensation and Incentive Planning and Sales Process & Tools.
From 2002 to mid-2004 Willem was country manager of Equant Netherlands. In this role he was responsible for growing the country revenue by more than 120 percent. Based on the strong increase of the customer base and growth in value added services Equant Netherlands became the fastest growing country in Equant worldwide.
Before that Willem was sales director for Global One in the Netherlands.
Prior to joining Equant from 1998 to 2001 Willem was director of Corporate Sales in the start-up phase of Orange Netherlands NV (Dutchtone). During that time he was responsible for the positioning of wireless and convergence services to the business market.
Willem's experience in telecommunications includes several commercial management functions for mobile service provider Cellway a joint venture between France Telecom and Pon Holding. CATV and telecommunication company UPC Nashuatec.
Willem is based in Amsterdam. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Business School of Amsterdam (HES). Recently he finished the Harvard Business School General Management program. His interests are running sailing and photography. He is married and has three children. |
