Mr. Becker is Managing Director of the Financial Reporting valuation practice at Chartwell. Mr. Becker focuses on valuations of privately held companies with complex capital and ownership structures. He has conducted valuations of corporate securities issued as equity compensation to comply with IRS and financial reporting requirements under IRC 409A and FAS 123R, respectively. He has also conducted valuations of identifiable intangible assets for financial reporting purposes. In addition, Mr. Becker serves as financial advisor to business owners seeking to sell their companies or make strategic acquisitions. He provides financial advisory services including business valuations and analyzing the effects of corporate initiatives such as recapitalizations, consolidations or spin-offs. In addition, he has assisted entrepreneurs with developing business plans for start-up ventures. Mr. Becker has made various presentations on 409A and 123R valuation issues to professional groups and clients. He is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth, The Collaborative, The Appraisal Issues Task Force, the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals and the Alliance of Merger and Acquisition Advisors. Mr. Becker is an Accredited Senior Appraiser. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance, with honors, from the University of St. Thomas. Mr. Becker also holds a Master of Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in finance, from the University St. Thomas. |
