Mr. Jones prepares and prosecutes patents for a wide range of technologies for a variety of large and small companies. He has worked on intellectual property matters involving digital signal processing, coding, encryption, audio mining, electronic circuits, computer networks, semiconductor devices, radio frequency transceivers, communication systems, control systems, computer memory architectures, magnetic resonance imaging systems, cellular composite structures and computer software applications. Mr. Jones has also supported licensing efforts, performed due diligence portfolio assessments and assisted in validity and infringement evaluations.
Prior to joining Kenyon, Mr. Jones worked as an engineering associate for GTE (now Verizon) in several technology groups. He performed testing and evaluation of vendor cellular telephones, provided support for the rollout of GTE's initial ADSL service, and investigated the robustness of MPEG-4 error-resiliency techniques for video on demand applications. Mr. Jones was also employed as a senior communications engineer for the Mitre Corporation during which time he modeled and evaluated the performance of a low probability of detection communication system. |
