Wendy Cassity is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s New York office. Wendy is a member of the Firm’s Corporate Department, where her practice focuses on Mergers and Acquisitions.
Prior to joining McDermott, Wendy concentrated her practice in various areas of corporate law, including Mergers and Acquisitions, Securities and Corporate Governance.
Wendy has represented and advised public and private companies, private equity funds and investment banks in their mergers and acquisitions transactions, private placements of debt and equity securities, registered securities offerings, and other general corporate and securities matters.
While at Columbia University School of Law, Wendy served as Managing Editor of the Columbia Law Review.

Represented Degussa AG in its acquisition of the superabsorbent polymers business of The Dow Chemical Company
Represented Parsons Brinckerhoff Inc. in the sale of its intelligent transportation systems business to a subsidiary of Telvent GIT, S.A.
Represented Merrill Lynch in its acquisition of the retirement plan record-keeping business of AMVESCAP PLC.
Represented IESI Corporation in its acquisition by BFI Canada Income Fund.
Represented Chemed Corporation in its acquisition of Vitas Healthcare Corporation.
Represented Lindsay Goldberg & Bessemer in the sale of its portfolio company Paint Sundry Brands Corporation to The Sherwin-Williams Company.
Represented J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. as initial purchaser in high-yield debt offerings by Allied Waste North America, Magellan Health Services and The Kansas City Southern Railway Company.
