Dr. Fantl joined Nodality in February of 2007. Previously, she served as Vice President of translational medicine at Quark Pharmaceuticals. Between 1994 and 2006, she held several positions at Chiron Corporation, including Director of Cancer Biology. Dr. Fantl received her Ph.D. in 1985 from Rockefeller University, completed her post-doctoral work in the laboratory of Dr. Lewis 'Rusty' Williams at UCSF before being appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Cardiovascular Research Institute, Department of Medicine at UCSF. Dr. Fantl’s expertise in signal transduction and its application to drug development and cancer research has resulted in 9 patents filed and 31 publications in journals including Nature and Cell, and has provided the basis for the selection of several therapeutic targets in drug discovery and development. |
