Wendy E. Siegel is a legislative analyst in the Lansing office of Dykema. She is part of the firm's Government Policy practice. Ms. Siegel manages the firm's Government Policy Center, which is a specialized library and archives of government records created and maintained by the group's members. Ms. Siegel engages in extensive research on past and pending legislation, especially Michigan legislation. The legislative histories developed by the Government Policy practice on legislation have been utilized by a variety of attorneys in the firm in such things as drafting statutory amendments and in litigation briefs. Ms. Siegel oversees the firm's state and federal political contribution programs. She also assists clients in lobby act compliance, political action committee reports, and similar activities. Prior to this position, Ms. Siegel was an administrative assistant in the Government Policy practice. Her previous experience includes working as a legal secretary in the areas of civil, commercial and criminal law. Ms. Siegel earned a Legal Specialist Associate degree from Lansing Community College in 1991 and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from Colorado State University - Pueblo in 2004. She is not admitted to the bar. |
