Wendy A. Watson is executive vice president of State Street and leads the company’s Cost Leadership Program Office, a cross organizational team focused on advancing all aspects of the cost leadership and globalization initiatives worldwide. In addition, Ms. Watson is responsible for defining State Street’s shared service and location strategy and managing the Company’s growing operations in India and Poland.
Since joining State Street in 2000, Ms. Watson has been instrumental in designing and implementing the strategy to build State Street’s global middle-office outsourcing business to $1.6 trillion in assets serviced. Today, State Street is the largest provider of these services in the marketplace globally.
Prior to joining State Street, Ms. Watson had 23 years of financial services experience. She has worked in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. This experience includes restructuring complex businesses and creating a number of joint ventures and strategic alliances.
Ms. Watson’s position prior to joining State Street was global head of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce’s Private Banking & Trust Operations. In this capacity she managed $50 billion of assets under management through a large Canadian domestic operation and 11 offshore locations around the globe.
Ms. Watson graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting and Law) from McGill University and is also a Certified General Accountant. |
