Welton O'Neal Jr. Pharm.D. has served as Vice President Medical Affairs since August 2005. Dr. O'Neal has extensive medical affairs experience including fourteen years with Bristol-Myers Squibb where he held the role of Vice President Medical Advocacy and Development for the cardiovascular/metabolics division of Bristol-Myers Squibb Worldwide. Following that Dr. O'Neal served as Vice President Global Clinical Science at Pharmacia Corporation. Most recently Dr. O'Neal served as Associate Vice President US Medical Affairs for Field Medical at Sanofi-Aventis-US where he focused on therapeutic areas including cardiovascular oncology and internal medicine as well as managed care. Dr. O'Neal holds a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree from the University of Kentucky and Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Pharmacy from Presbyterian College and the Medical University of South Carolina respectively. |
