Mr. Li is a successful entrepreneur with 17-years experience in founding companies and/or investing in growing industries in China. In 1989, as the President and CEO, Mr. Li founded Xinhua International Market Development Ltd. which engaged in investment in a variety of fast growing industries in China covering high-tech industry, pharmaceutical, medical device, media, entertainment, real estate, etc. With expertise in developing and financing growth businesses in China that he accumulated from his earlier professional career in Chinese financial industries, Mr. Li founded China Star Investment Group with operations across the US and China in 1993 to provide integrated financing services and/or venture investments to growing businesses in China. Its portfolio companies and/or clients range from large-scale projects such as the Ningbo Highway Project to entrepreneurial businesses including Kunpeng Entertainment Ltd., Tecomasia Communication Technologies Ltd., a leading wireless technology company co-founded by Mr. Li and a team of technological professionals from Beijing Post and Communications University, and First Capital Securities Ltd., a securities firm co-founded with Beijing Capital Group.
Envisioning the promising future of China's fledging ag-biotechnology industry, Mr. Li established KIWA Bio-Tech Product Group, Ltd. in 2000 to capitalize on the fast growth in this special market in China.
