He joined the company in 1983 as vice president of rates for Entex and served in various executive management positions including rates information technology and technical services through 1991. Stinnett was then named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Entex in 1994 and assumed responsibility for accounting rates information technology gas supply and Entex Fuels. Before joining the company Stinnett was an audit manager with Arthur Andersen & Co. in the regulated utility practice in Houston. Before joining Andersen in 1978 he was Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Jesse Jones Graduate School of Business and Public Management at Rice University.
Education and Accreditation: Stinnett has a master’s degree in economics from Rice University and is a certified public accountant.
Affiliations and Honors: He is a member of both the American and Southern Gas Associations.
