Wayne Hutchinson joined Shell Global Solutions in May 2003. His current portfolio covers the third party market of Shell Global Solutions’ business and consulting, on a company-wide basis.
Prior to joining Shell, Wayne enjoyed an international career. He had 18 years in Engineering, Procurement and Construction, living and working in the UK, Japan, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and The Netherlands. He then moved into management consulting companies in The Netherlands, the UK, America and Belgium.
Wayne graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1974, before travelling to South Africa, where he worked in the steel industry, connecting machines to computers. A similar role in Japan followed.
After moving into the oil business in Saudi Arabia and UAE, he led a large process control group in The Netherlands, with John Brown E&C. During this period, while leading a large group working on projects all over the world, Wayne completed a compressed MBA at the International Institute for Management Development in Switzerland.
In 1991, he joined Honeywell as Vice President of Value Added Services in Brussels. After completing a number of key acquisitions for Honeywell, he formed the new division of Honeywell Hi-Spec Solutions, and moved to Pheonix, Arizona.
In 1997, Wayne joined KBC Consultancy, a company specialising in refinery optimisation, where he spent six years as President and Chief Operating Officer. |
