In January of 1985, Dr. DeJarnette founded DeJarnette Research Systems as a single employee contract engineering and consulting firm from 1985 to 1990. In the early 1990s, Dr. DeJarnette grew the Company from a contract engineering and consulting firm to one of the most respected PACS and Teleradiology component suppliers.
Dr. DeJarnette holds a Ph.D. degree in experimental physics from Johns Hopkins University. He has served on the ACR-NEMA committee to develop the medical imaging DICOM standard from 1987 until 1992 and is the author of numerous academic papers in the disciplines of High Energy Physics, Heavy Ion Physics, Picture Archiving and Communications and Teleradiology as well as numerous articles for PACS and Teleradiology trade journals. He is the holder of two patents in the field of PACS workstation user interfaces. Dr. DeJarnette is also a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), American Physical Society (APS), Society for Computer Applications in Radiology (SCAR) and Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE). |
