Wayne Hewett is vice president of GE Supply Chain and Operations, a position he assumed in March 2008
In December 2006, Mr. Hewett was named President and CEO of Momentive Performance Materials Inc. In 2005, Mr. Hewett was appointed President and CEO of GE Advanced Materials and became a member of GE's Corporate Executive Council. Other prior leadership roles include President of GE Plastics Pacific, located in Shanghai, China and President & CEO of GE Toshiba Silicones, located in Tokyo, Japan.
Mr. Hewett began his career with GE in 1986 as a member of the Manufacturing Management Program. After graduating the program in 1988, he joined the GE Corporate Audit Staff as a staff auditor prior to being named Executive Audit Manager in 1992. He joined GE Power Generation in 1993 as Manager, Engineering Design Systems before moving to GE Silicones as Manager, Materials and Logistics in 1994. Mr. Hewett then moved to GE Plastics as General Manager, Petrochemicals and Global Sourcing in 1995. In 1998, he was named General Manager, Global Six Sigma Quality for GE Plastics. He was promoted to vice president of General Electric Company in August 2001. |
