Wayne’s career dates back to the early 80’s when he worked as a software engineer for Apple Computer's CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing) group. In the early 90’s, Wayne co-founded AllPen Software, Inc., a company focused on software solutions and technology for mobile & wireless devices. AllPen's customers included Ford Motor Company, Harris Corporation, Motorola, Sun Microsystems, Thomson/RCA, and others each focused on the mobile & wireless space. Additionally, AllPen developed the world's first mobile HTML browser, NetHopper®, as well as one of the first commercially available Windows CE 1.0 applications. Five years after founding the company, AllPen Software was acquired by Spyglass, Inc. (NASDAQ: SPYG) where Wayne led Spyglass' Professional Services activities. Two years later, Spyglass was acquired by OpenTV (NASDAQ: OPTV) for nearly $2.5 billion. In 1999, Wayne founded AstroApps Technologies, Inc., a company focused on software technology for the mobile marketplace. AstroApps was later merged with FusionOne, Inc. - a firm focused on delivering multi-device Internet-based synchronization and data access services. In the summer of 2001, Wayne left FusionOne to start Rocket Mobile, bringing together wireless industry experts who had worked at his previous startups. Wayne holds a BS in Computer Science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and an MBA from San Jose State University. From time to time, Wayne enjoys auto racing in various racing series throughout the United States. He resides with his family in San Jose, California. |
