Warren Pratt is a partner who concentrates his practice on bankruptcy, litigation and protections against insolvency and litigation risks in business transactions.
Bankruptcy. Warren has served as the principal attorney of record for numerous parties including creditors, debtors, trustees, directors, shareholders and purchasers in hundreds of bankruptcy cases. He has significant experience in all major aspects of bankruptcy practice: voluntary and involuntary petitions, stays and injunctions, bankruptcy financings, asset dispositions, contracts and leases, technology licenses, claims litigation, priority disputes, equitable subordination, objections to discharge, preferences and fraudulent transfers, substantive consolidation, reorganization plans, cramdowns, stripdowns, liquidations, jurisdictional disputes and appellate practice.
Litigation. Warren has extensive experience in an array of litigation involving disputed sums ranging from thousands to hundreds of millions of dollars. He has appeared before scores of judges and has authored briefs in proceedings resulting in dozens of reported court opinions. Warren has played an integral role in the successful resolution of lender liability lawsuits. His practice includes both the prosecution and defense of a wide variety of business litigation.
Consultations. Warren provides advice in assessing and guarding against bankruptcy and litigation risks in connection with acquisitions, financings and other business transactions. His broad background enables him to assist in structuring transactions at the outset to protect against problems that could arise in the event of insolvency or litigation. Warren also helps clients and general counsel in developing practical solutions to problems when the threat of insolvency or litigation is more imminent. His involvement becomes intensive when necessary in troubled situations.
In General. Warren served as a law clerk to Justice Joseph R. Grodin of the California Court of Appeal and practiced litigation in San Francisco until 1983 when he joined Drinker Biddle. He became a partner with the firm in 1989. Warren is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Delaware State Bar Association. |
