Warren Kinsler is a partner in the Cerritos office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Mr. Kinsler represents California school districts and community college districts in education law, administrative law and labor relations. He handles general human resources matters, administrative hearings and employment litigation. He focuses on personnel matters, civil rights litigation, real property transactions, public finance transactions, and government tort liability. Mr. Kinsler has extensive experience advising governing boards and personnel commissions on a wide range of issues related to school districts that have adopted the merit system. Mr. Kinsler earned his undergraduate degree in University Planning and Social Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, and his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. He joined Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo in 1990. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Kinsler was general counsel for the Los Angeles Community College District. Mr. Kinsler has lectured extensively to school administrators, board members and educational agencies on various education law-related topics, including the Brown Act and avoiding employment discrimination. He has been a guest lecturer at California State University, Northridge, and the Community College League of California. He is a frequent contributor to the firm's school law publications. |
