Warren R. Nelson has served as Shells Executive Vice President of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer, and Secretary since June 1993. In these posts he oversees the company’s accounting, finance and information technology functions. Mr. Nelson, who began his career in the restaurant industry, served as Assistant Controller for Eckerd Drug Company prior to joining Shells. He worked with the large retail company for a decade, including serving as Controller of its institutional healthcare subsidiary. Throughout the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, Mr. Nelson worked with the General Mills Restaurant Group as a Manager, Strategic Analyst and Senior Financial Analyst. The group, which later became Darden Restaurants, then operated more than 560 Red Lobster and other restaurants generating $1 billion in annual sales. During his tenure at General Mills Restaurant Group Mr. Nelson played a key role in integrating Pinellas Seafood Co. into the company after its acquisition. Mr. Nelson served for nearly 3 years as Controller of Pinellas, a major seafood supplier/processor. Mr. Nelson earned his MBA from the University of South Florida and his B.S. in Accounting from Southwest Missouri State University
